Jürgen Klopp was confirmed as Germany's new head coach on Thursday, vowing to 'change a country' through football. In a fiery press conference, the former Liverpool boss also threatened to step down if his family is harassed by the media.
Klopp Returns to the Dugout
The 59-year-old replaces Julian Nagelsmann, who departed on July 3. Klopp had been out of frontline management since leaving Liverpool in 2024, citing fatigue. He spent the last year as head of global soccer for Red Bull but now returns to lead the national team through the 2030 World Cup.

Klopp made clear he will not tolerate invasive media coverage of his family. 'I'm taking this job even though I've seen how you treated Nagelsmann,' he warned. He stated he would leave without compensation if his family's privacy is violated.
