Cement Candle Holder 2026

Cement Candle Owner, I had a lot of fun experimenting with cement and loved the result.

In these instructions I will share the procedure to make a beautiful and charming candle holder. For your home decoration.

You can use some plastic containers to make the mold. I used a coke bottle and cracked salt container seats inside my trash can.

#1: Material and Tools

Materials:

• Cement
• The water
• Plastic coke bottle
• Small container/Salt container
• Container to prepare concrete (For water, cement and concrete)
• Petroleum jelly or oil
• Spoon
• Rubber gloves
• Small stones
• Toilet paper and tissue paper.

Tools:

• Scissors
• Box Cutter/Paper Cutter/Hobby Knife

#2: Prepare the mold

• First cut a small portion at the bottom of the plastic coke bottle by box cutter
• Then insert the scissors into the previous cutting part and continue until the entire bottle is complete, complete. Don't worry if the cut is uneven, it won't hurt anything.

#3: Mix water and cement

• Nowadays, concrete mix is available in the market, but I tried to have fun at my house.
• Take 6 to 8 teaspoons of cement powder in a container. Add water gradually and stir continuously until a thick paste forms. During preparation, you may add more water, making the mixture very fine. In that case, add some dry cement to make it thick. then it takes more time to dry, but very thick mixture is also not good, since it does not sit perfectly inside the mold.

Safety: Wear hand gloves during work.

#4: Apply petroleum jelly

• Use some pebbles or small stones to flatten your inner plastic mold as it tends to rise out of the cement. I have used colored stones but it is not mandatory that you can use normal stones or coins instead of it. container also helps to sit firmly in the center.
• Apply Vaseline or oil to the outside surface of the container. It helps the container move away from the cement when you remove it from the mold.

#5: Fill the mold with concrete

• Clean and dry your plastic mold and apply a thin layer of Vaseline or oil inside your plastic mold.
• Pour the cement into the mold. Vibrate the mold slowly. The vibration removes bubbles from the mixture and makes the candle holder stronger and less likely to break.
• Do not fill the mold completely, leave at least 1cm from the top, otherwise the cement mixture will overflow when you place the container.or internal.
• Place the inner container in the center.
• Let it dry for 24 to 36 hours.

Note:

Your plastic containers are completely reusable after this project. Once the cement dries,

It is difficult to get off the sides of the container, so clean the container with water immediately.

#6: Add more strength

• After 24 to 36 hours of drying, place it into water for 4 to 5 hours. It will give more strength to the chandelier.

#7: Remove the mold

• After treating the concrete with water, it is now time to remove the mold.
• Remove the inner container carefully. Vaseline or oil is used to easily remove the cement container.
• Cut the plastic using the box cutter or knife.

#8: Sand

• After removing the plastic and the inner container, there are some uneven places on the surface.
• Take the fine sandpaper and gently rub it over the surface and sides.
• Clean up the cement dust using tissue paper.

#9: Ready to Use

• Now the candlestick is ready for use.
• Place the candle inside the candlestick.
• Light the candles and enjoy.
