A Scottish police officer who raped at least nine women over 14 years has been exposed after his first victim came forward. PC Alan Greer, who took his own life in May, attacked women while off duty, including a woman who called police for help in 2012. His crimes triggered one of Police Scotland's biggest anti-corruption investigations.
Details of the Investigation
The BBC Disclosure investigation revealed that Greer used hundreds of sex workers throughout his career. Five of his known victims were sex workers. An additional eight victims have been identified so far, and more are expected. Assistant Chief Constable Lynn Ratcliff called the evidence “truly shocking.”
