Natalie Tran on Baking and Cake Etiquette

When asked about the perks of hosting a baking show, Natalie reveals that while they are told to leave the cakes alone until judging, the bakers often make extra treats for the crew. "We're like little birds in the wild," she jokes. "Trash birds. They put cut-offs on the side of the bench, and we go past and swipe them."

This behind-the-scenes glimpse shows the fun and informal atmosphere on set, where even the hosts can't resist the sweet temptations. It's a relatable and endearing admission that adds to her charm.

The Rice Cooker Debate: A Strong Opinion

Natalie remains adamant that it should be illegal not to own a rice cooker. "Yes, 100%. Jail time. No questions asked," she declares. She expresses disbelief at people who cook rice in a saucepan, calling it mind-blowing. When the interviewer admits to not owning one, Natalie's reaction is one of pained silence and genuine confusion.

"But your life could be so much easier," she insists. This passionate advocacy for a simple kitchen appliance highlights her practical and humorous approach to everyday problems.

Bird Encounters and Neighborhood Feuds

Natalie shares a peculiar story about a bird in her neighborhood that she once confronted during a bird gang war. "I ran up and was like 'Oi!'" she recalls.
