Build Your Own Power Tool Board for your workshop as you always have to drag your tools outside every time you want to do any cutting or sanding. Build your all-in-one portable workshop that houses your frequently used power tools, one you can take everywhere. Includes a power strip so that the 4 tools can be plugged in at all times. Plug in the extension cord and you're done.
Step 1: Manufacturing the mounting plate:

This has to be portable, so start with a piece of lightweight 1/4″ plywood, and lay out your power tools to find the arrangement and harmony of the tools on the wood.
Then trace the outline of the tools on the board. The photos show how the sheaths for the various tools were made, with wood cuts for the verticals and pieces of 1/4″ plywood for the faces, which were simply held in place with nails and screws.
If you do something like this, consider how the cables will run and how easy it is to grab and replace the tools. For example, the Trim Router bracket is made in two pieces to allow the cable to pass through. And the drill covers really only need a small support to hold it, when in use. But a second layer of support blocks and Velcro straps can be added to hold the drills more securely for transport and storage. A clearance of 5 mm (1/4″) is probably adequate for this type of use.
I also cut a hand grip with a drill and jigsaw, and rounded all the edges of the board.
Step 2: Make custom hooks:

To hook this gadget, you need a flat aluminum bar (3*20mm section) so you can bend it and make custom hooks. Press the end of the bar into the corner of a piece of wood and use the free end of the aluminum as a long lever to manually bend the bar.
The hooks were cut with a hacksaw and all sharp ends were sanded with 60 grit sandpaper.
Screw these hooks into the back of the board with 1/2″ screws, adding more pieces of 1/4″ plywood.
Step 3: Finishing:

I finished the board with a coat of spray paint to even out the multicolored scraps. (Masking the Velcro and hooks with painter's tape)
The power strip is simply attached with a cable through small drilled holes, so it can be easily removed if necessary.
There is still room on the plate for future upgrades, such as a bit holder and additional sandpaper. My circular saw definitely won't fit on this board, but I can add a couple of hooks to the bottom to hang larger tools like a saw.
Step 4: Ready to use inside or outside!

This tool table really helps as it is much easier to set up outside. Besides,Since the portable work table is quite small, this keeps all my tools off the table and within reach. (Instead of having it on the floor).
