Double Seat Pallet Bench! 2026

Double Seat Pallet Bench, I made this bench with some minimal tools and some salvaged pallets, 2×4, I had to buy some 2×4 to complete the project, so this bench is partially salvaged.

This bank is not unique, many of them are built the same way, they are simply merged so everyone can build it.

Step 1: Cut List

• 1Piece 2×4 61″ long – Front support
• 1Piece 2×4 58″ long – Rear support
• 2 Pieces 2×4 23 1/2″ long – Front legs
• 2 Pieces 2×4 22 9/16″ long – Arm Rest Support / Side Frame
• 2 Pieces 2×4 24 5/16″ long – Back legs (inner edge to inner edge (24/16″ long. Outer edge to outer edge) 15 degree angle on each side (ends cut parallel to each other)
• 4 Pieces 2×4 19 3/4″ long – Cross supports 15 degree angle on 1 side
• 4 2x4 Pieces 24″ long – From square edge to outside point – Backing supports – 15 degree angle at bottom – Top is cut at a 90 degree angle.

Step 2: Instructions:

• Cut each piece on your miter saw. For all angles in this project, set the saw at 15 degrees.
• Use a jigsaw to cut the notch in the two front legs. The 2x4 piece will eventually rest in the notch. Measure 9 1/2 inches from the bottom of the front 2x4 leg and mark.
• Measure 1 1/2″ back (depth). Then measure from your nine inch mark to 3 1/2″ and make one more mark. Connect the lines and cut your notch in both pieces. Then, cut with a jigsaw and use an orbital sander to smooth the edges.
• Assemble both sides As shown in the video, place the front and rear legs together on top with the 2x4 arm support. Measure 11″ behind the back of the front leg and make a mark. Then align the rear leg so that the 15 degree angle is aligned with the arm support. Just attach the two legs to the arm support in this step. We'll get to the lower cross support later.
• Measure 11 inches from the back of the front leg to the front of the back leg. Flush with the 2x4 horizontal and attach with 3 screws. Attach each cross support. For middle 2, you can insert 2 screws from the front. (Through 2x4 and on the cross support).
• Attach to sides with 2.5″ screws.

• Attach chair and back Wood slats Position the front slat so it hangs over the front 2x4 by 3/4″.

• Next, position the back slat so that it touches the two backrest supports. Place the remaining 3 slats and space them evenly. (About 1/4 or so).
• Attach the backrest slats. Place the top board first to help square the backrest supports.
• Place the bottom strip.
• Finally, connect the remaining boards and space evenly.
