Record Attendance at SCM's Smart Factory Event

More than 2,500 visitors from across Europe, as well as Asia, America, and the Middle East, packed the SCM Technology Center in Rimini from January 31 to February 2 for the "Smart&Human Factory" Open House. This record attendance confirms the Italian giant as a global leader in technology for secondary woodworking and the furniture industry. After excellent results in 2018, with a revenue increase that brought the entire Group to exceed €700 million, SCM opened 2019 under the banner of innovation with an event entirely dedicated to the new frontiers of the digital and intelligent factory.

This cutting-edge factory features SCM's latest generation technologies integrated with anthropomorphic industrial robots for heavy tasks, collaborative robots that work alongside operators in complete safety without barriers, and autonomous guided vehicles with intelligent navigation systems. The result is progress on the work front as well, allowing the factory to respond more quickly and efficiently to diverse market demands while freeing operators from repetitive tasks so they can focus on higher value-added activities.
