Há alguns dias, a Summit, o primeiro 'smartwatch' da Montblanc, baseado, como a grande maioria desses dispositivos, no Android Wear, tecnologia do Google. Assim como seus concorrentes nessa faixa de preço, ela foi posicionada no segmento entre pouco menos de €1.000 e €1.500. A Summit, especificamente, começa em €895. A inovação está em buscar um visual clássico, imitando o de sua coleção 1858, em oposição à “modernidade” que os smartwatches populares defendem, embora eu ache que a expressão “criando uma ponte para o mundo da Alta Relojoaria” contida em seu comunicado de imprensa seja um pouco exagerada.

A caixa de 46 mm da Montblanc Summit está disponível em quatro materiais e estilos diferentes — em aço revestido com PVD preto, com caixa bicolor em aço e bisel revestido com PVD preto, em caixa de aço acetinado e em caixa de titânio grau 5 acetinado. O botão que controla todo o relógio tem o design da coroa da coleção 1858. Os mostradores, que são uma representação da mencionada coleção 1858, apresentam complicações como Data Automática, Pequenos Segundos ou Cronógrafo.

Os Pequenos Segundos e o Cronógrafo podem ser combinados com complicações digitais que fornecem informações úteis ao usuário, como horário mundial, uma próxima reunião ou metas de treino. O mostrador urbano adicional fornece todas as informações de relance, como notificação de e-mails ou mensagens, reuniões ou clima, sem mencionar um despertador projetado pela Montblanc e um cronógrafo (a 1/100 de segundo).

Há também um mostrador com design Urban Timewalker e outros mostradores estão planejados que estarão disponíveis para os proprietários da Montblanc Summit na Google Store, mas se você for exigente e não se sentir satisfeito com os mostradores padrão, pode sempre entrar em contato com o departamento de design da Montblanc e, por módicos €15.000 (quinze mil euros), eles projetarão um exclusivamente para você.

No lado técnico, conta com o processador Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ Wear 2100, um dos mais avançados e potentes atualmente disponíveis, embora já saibamos que essa palavra – “atualmente” – é bastante efêmera no mundo dos smartwatches. O Android Wear 2.0 também é compatível com o IOS da Apple. A tela AMOLED de alto contraste mede 1,39 polegadas (resolução de 286 ppi), e isso é possível graças às dimensões generosas do próprio relógio: 46 mm de diâmetro. Continuando com o visual clássico, esta tela é protegida por um vidro de safira levemente curvo, outra novidade em comparação com a concorrência.

Summit e 1858 da Montblanc

O relógio possui um microfone para comandos de voz e numerosos sensores: um monitor de frequência cardíaca e sensores para medir passos e atividades; um giroscópio e bússola para medir a orientação do relógio; um barômetro que pode indicar altitude e um sensor de luz ambiente que adapta automaticamente o brilho da tela com base nas condições de iluminação. Pode ser carregado via micro USB em uma base magnética Montblanc e conecta-se via Wi-Fi® e Bluetooth®. Além disso, possui 4 GB de armazenamento Flash que podem ser usados para sincronizar e reproduzir música sem a necessidade de um smartphone.

Além de poder ser configurado com os aplicativos que se adequam a cada usuário, a Montblanc Summit vem pré-carregada com Uber, Foursquare City Guide e Runtastic, este último com uma conta Premium gratuita de três meses. Você pode enviar lembretes sobre compromissos e exibir mensagens recebidas ou chamadas telefônicas. Também pode escanear códigos de barras em cartões de embarque... sim, a bateria ainda dura menos de 24 horas, algo que precisa ser melhorado em todos os smartwatches com tela.
