Easily Build a Fantastic Wooden Slide for Children, I decided to build an indoor playground also to fulfill the dream I had when I was little. So I started with a wooden slide that I saw on the Jupiduu website, these colorful slides are elegant in shape and size, but their price does not reach to satisfy the pocket of us parents. So I decided to make my slide.

That is: The slide is only made for personal fun, without implications with other brands on the market.

Step 1: Cutting the pieces

The length of Jupiduu slide is 145cm and the height is 68cm, to make the slide bigger, I bought 2 pieces of wood size 90cmx180cm (about 1.8cm thick), and following the design I had to cut each piece as the photo shows. The size makes a total length of 200 cm, 73 cm high and 55 cm wide sliding more stable.

Step 2: Insert the nuts and drill the holes

I don't know what to call this nut, but it has internal and external threads, this allows for easier assembly than the wood screw, as you can screw and unscrew these plates effortlessly. So I drilled holes in the sides of each board, and inserted these nuts into them. I also drilled holes in the 2 side L-shaped boards to find the location of the nuts accordingly.

Step 3: Assemble

Once the nuts are in and the holes are drilled correctly, assembly of the rest is simple.

Step 4: Apply mask

This step is to apply the mask to the sliding piece to make it smoother and have less friction when sliding. The type of mask I chose already has adhesive on the back and a smooth surface on the front. Cutting a rough area to cover the board, with one man pulling on one end, the other uses a scraper and begins scraping the mask on the other end. I did a good job of leaving no bubbles, and trimmed the edges with a razor.

Step 5: Adding Child Protection

This is the last step, adding the EVA bumper allows for a safer play environment for children. Thank you for your visit! Greetings!
