Method for analyzing taxi ride prices
Europe's most populous cities were examined for the analysis. For each city, Fit Reisen determined both the basic price for a taxi ride and the price per kilometer. On this basis, the total price for a journey of 10 kilometers at the time of day was calculated. To ensure fair comparability, factors such as waiting times and weekend surcharges were deliberately left out. The taxi-rechner.de platform served as a uniform data source to create a consistent basis for all cities. Prices in foreign currencies were converted into euros based on the exchange rate as of April 1, 2025. Cities in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine were not taken into account in the evaluation.
