The Ukraine war entered a new phase as Ukraine fired more than 400 drones toward Moscow, with strikes hitting logistics facilities and oil depots. The attack started a fire at the Yuzhnye Vrata industrial park, another Wildberries warehouse site, after similar strikes over the weekend. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the operations targeted facilities supporting Russia's war effort.
Russia responded by bombarding Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities with ballistic missiles, killing at least 28 people in the Odesa region alone in July. The Institute for the Study of War reported that Russia launched more ballistic missiles in July than it likely produces monthly, depleting its stockpiles.

Strategic Strikes on Russian Infrastructure
Ukraine also struck two vessels belonging to Russia's shadow fleet transporting sanctioned oil, along with four dry cargo ships in the Black Sea. These attacks aim to disrupt Russia's economic lifelines and reduce its ability to fuel the invasion.
Wildberries Warehouses Under Fire
The Wildberries warehouses—major logistics hubs for e-commerce—have become repeated targets. Zelenskyy stated their involvement in military logistics made them legitimate targets. The Astra news outlet reported a fire at an oil depot in Podolsk, 20 km south of Moscow, further straining Russian supply chains.
