Performance: Suction, Mopping, and Navigation

Suction and Pet Hair Handling

In our tests, the Roomba Max 775 Combo proved highly effective at picking up pet hair from both hard floors and carpets. The combination of strong suction and rubber brushes means hair doesn't cling to the bristles, making cleanup easier.

We found it particularly useful for homes with shedding dogs or cats—it left floors virtually hair-free after each run.

Mopping Performance

iRobot has embraced roller mopping with the Max 775 Combo, and the results are impressive. It scrubs floors with a rotating roller, and the side brush extends to reach corners.

Among the many robot vacuums we've tested, this model stands out for its mopping capability—it's arguably the best we've seen to date.

Navigation and Battery Life

The robot navigates efficiently using advanced sensors, mapping rooms and avoiding obstacles. With a long-lasting battery, it can cover large areas on a single charge, making it suitable for spacious homes.

Maintenance and App Experience

One of the standout aspects is the low maintenance requirement, thanks to the AutoWash base that cleans the mop pads automatically. You'll spend less time hands-on.

The iRobot Home app is well-designed and packed with features, yet remains user-friendly. It's one of the better apps we've used on a robot vacuum, offering scheduling, zone cleaning, and customization without overwhelming clutter.
