Picturesque neighborhood, with a nice atmosphere, close to Notre Dame and the center of Paris. I love its shops, small restaurants and nightlife. Everything is very nice.
Bourse district , 2nd district
Very central, with a lot of hotel options, Haussmann architecture. It is elegant and very Parisian. You are close to everything on foot . Full of restaurants to dine and walk back to your accommodation , enjoying the Parisian night . It is quieter than district 1 (it is more central and touristy too).
Latin Quarter, 5th arrondissement — 75005
This is the university district. Lots of youth life, lower prices in food and hotels, and a luxury location.
Grandes Boulevares, 9th district and part of 10th district
It is located north of the 2nd district, a little further from the centre (barely) and is full of hotels. There is a lot of food on offer and typical Parisian architecture. It is more of an office area but close to everything. Many shops nearby.
Montmartre, 18th district
The first time I came to Paris, my hotel was opposite Picasso’s studio and I fell in love with the city. If you are looking for a quiet and bohemian place, this is ideal. It is full of typical restaurants. Very local energy and more affordable hotels.

Style : more bourgeois and residential area. It is quieter and although there is a lot of movement in Trocadero due to the lighting of the Tower, it is an area that is good for relaxing.

10. La Défense, the modern Paris
The area par excellence for business and work travelers . In La Défense you will find a hotel offer with an excellent price-quality ratio in terms of infrastructure and comfort within the hotel but also you will be outside of Paris intramural .
Many tour agencies choose accommodations here and I recommend that you speak to your travel agent and ask for a location within Paris.
Below the Arc de Triomphe de la Défense, metro line 1 will connect you to the Champs Elysees, Place de la Concorde, the Louvre Museum or the Le Marais district.
You also have the RER A which will connect you to Disneyland Paris . But on the other hand, you should consider the testimony of the same travellers who travel around the city with us every day, always remarking that “it seems a bit far from everything”.
The thing is that if you want to experience the Paris nightlife , go eat something at a typical bistro or walk around the city of lights , it is true that the hotel is a bit far away and unintentionally, it limits our ability to experience the magic of Paris at night.

Nearby Attractions : None (I don’t find the Arc de Triomphe de la Defense attractive at all).

Most Peaceful Neighborhoods Where to Stay in Paris
Between the 1st and 10th arrondissements you will be closer to all the tourist activities and the most emblematic neighborhoods of Paris.
Between districts 1 and 2 you will be in the central area, accessible to Notre Dame and the Louvre museum , while districts 3 and 4 will put you closer to the Le Marais district , the Pompidou Centre and the Bastille (area full of bars and restaurants).
The 5th and 6th arrondissements are in the area of the Latin Quarter and Saint Germain des Prés , a very pretty and busy area , also close to the Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon and the square where Emily lives (from the Netflix series Emily in Paris), points we passed through on our tour of the Latin Quarter of Paris.
The 7th district has as its main reference the Hotel des Invalides , an area with movement but also more residential, so if you are looking for a quiet place to stay, it can be a great option.
The 8th arrondissement is marked by the level of the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees . Glamour and elegance.
I love the 9th and 10th arrondissements area . There is a great selection of restaurants and bars, with a 9th arrondissement close to the Opera and a 10th arrondissement also close to the two main train stations in Paris (Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est) and just a few minutes from my favourite district in Paris: Montmartre, the artists’ quarter .
Another place that will connect you super well with all of Paris is the République area , a central point between the 3rd, 10th and 11th arrondissements and that will give you great access to the most important points of the city , with a great gastronomic offer and slightly more generous closing times for restaurants (and if not, you can go to the McDonald’s that is in front of the square).
