16 Best Restaurants in Paris to Eat Delicious French Cuisine

Bistrot Victoires

I discovered this bistro a short time ago and I will definitely start visiting it more often , especially at lunchtime after a tour of the historic center of Paris.

It is a typical Parisian bistro from the 1800s (the place is nice and feels classic), with a traditional menu and a confit de canard (duck) that is a delight. Well-cooked potatoes with just the right amount of salt and a crème brûlée to match .

I think it's more for lunchtime, at night it gets crowded and a bit noisy . A good local bistro that I highly recommend. Starter for €8, meat dishes for €13, desserts for €8 and bottled and house wines at good prices.

6 Rue de la Vrillière, 75001 Paris.

The Maryland

The parmentier de canard (a potato and duck pie) I had here is something I have never eaten anywhere else . We paid €15 for the menu (main course and dessert) but the main course alone costs €12.5. A real treat. I love it because it is a place run by locals who are regulars.

Of course, the menu is on a blackboard and what's gone, is gone.

47 rue Turbigo, 75003 Paris.

Julien's Bouillon

Another restaurant that requires a queue to enter . The food is good, affordable and very traditional. Besides, it feels like you've travelled back in time with its art nouveau style.

16 rue de Faubourg Saint Denis, Paris 75010.

Bouillon Chartier (Opera and Montparnasse)

Boullion or tavern that also has a location in the Opera area. Affordable prices and traditional French cuisine.

59 Boulevard du Montparnasse 75006 Paris.

7 rue Faubourg Montmartre 75009 Paris.

Vigoreaux Café

TYPICAL FRENCH DISHES TO EAT IN PARIS: DUCK OR CANARD

A café that never fails me , where I have been several times while walking around the area and they have always treated me well, I have eaten well, delicious, simple . A classic bistro in an area that is too touristy.

I like onion soup and you can eat duck à l'orange at a very affordable price: €16 for the starter-main menu.

10 rue les Halles 75001 Paris.

HISTORIC RESTAURANTS IN PARIS

The Grand Colbert

Where to eat in Paris, Le Grand Colbert

It is a typical Parisian brasserie.

Traditional, classic service. Overrated (in my opinion) in terms of dishes and wines, but with an affordable menu.

District I.

This is one of Paris's iconic restaurants. The first tea room to serve coffee, founded in 1686, expresses its history everywhere. The food is delicious and the place has a special charm.

The lunchtime menu is around €35 and in the evening €45, although the Joue de Boeuf brisé is the star dish along with the snails (escargots) .

13 rue de l'Ancienne Comédie 75006 Paris.

The Blue Train

This is one of the prettiest restaurants in Paris and expresses the splendor of the Belle Époque. It is beautiful and the food is very good. Short menu and good wine list .

Gare de Lyon.

Le Relais Louis XIII, haute cuisine in Paris

Led by Chef Martinez , this medieval stone mansion is one of my favorite restaurants in Paris. It's a 5-sensory experience, with tasting menus and an extensive wine list.

The soufflé with champagne cream and mushrooms justifies everything. There is a 5-course menu and an 8-course menu . If you like signature cuisine, I recommend that you add it to your list. Keep in mind that you will pay an average of €140 per person.

8 rue des Grands Augustins, 75006 Paris.

Lapérouse, since 1776 in Paris

Where to eat in Paris, Laperouse

It is a restaurant that has become known for hosting fashion events and for an Instagram that is incredible: it has some environments in which you would love to take a good photo book with flash .

It has a good climate and a very extensive wine list , however, I felt it was overrated and very touristy , despite being a place I really wanted to try.

55 Quai des Grands Augustins 75006 Paris.

RESTAURANTS TO HAVE A SPECIAL DINNER IN PARIS

The Sky of Paris

This restaurant is located on the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower , the second highest floor in Paris. It is ideal for dining with the best view of the Eiffel Tower and enjoying high-quality cuisine.

The food is good, but apart from that, with the Grand Écran menu worth €140 , it includes a starter, main course, dessert, cheeses and they serve you champagne all night . And everything flows. One of those restaurants to go to at least once in your life .

56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower.

Riviera Fuga, facing the Seine River and the Alexander III Bridge

Restaurants, where to eat in Paris

After a long time, a restaurant was opened at the height of the Alexander III Bridge. Riviera Fuga offers a step-by-step menu for a very rich, tasty and abundant meal . A menu based on seafood, in all its forms, and super fresh cocktails .

Of course, it is best enjoyed when it is warm or sunny . The tasting menu costs €60 and is very fresh, delicious and you will enjoy the best view of the Seine River and the Alexander III Bridge.

Riviera Fuga, 10 Port des Invalides, Paris 75007.

Have lunch or dinner at the Eiffel Tower at Madamme Brasserie

Best Restaurants in Paris to Eat Delicious French Cuisine — Madame Brasserie Eiffel Tower — Grand Goldman

Post Covid, Madamme Brasserie opened , one of the restaurants located in the Eiffel Tower . It is located on the first floor and can be accessed with a prior reservation.

The menus offer a starter, main course, dessert and, depending on the option you choose, a drink . You will be treated well , you will eat well and drink some delicious wines , with a unique perspective of the city . It is an experience that I think is worth trying on your trip to Paris.

Eiffel Tower.

Toqué Gastronomic Bus

Toqué Gastronomic Bus paris — Best Restaurants in Paris to Eat Delicious French Cuisine — Grand Goldman

It's a 2-hour bus ride around the city . It's very well equipped and prepared to have a good dinner without anything falling apart, something that worried me.

Very tasty, unlike many of the city's food tours. The quality of the food is good and the wines are very good. We took the Toqué Bus, which was the one that was most recommended to us and we loved it.It leaves from Avenue Champs Elysées.

MODERN GASTRONOMY, CHIC & GOOD ATMOSPHERE IN PARIS

Bombance, chic restaurant in the heart of the Marais

Located in Le Marais, a neighborhood full of great gastronomic proposals , Bombance is a relatively new restaurant, with a small but very dedicated menu.

We were well attended to and the wine recommendation was more than accurate . They have red and white wines, listed by region and there are options of all levels, from €30 upwards.

We went at night and shared a meat pâté as a starter , we ate poitrine de porc (pork cut like a pork shoulder) with onion puree and caramelized onions , plus a Chardonnay white wine from Bourgogne that we loved (smooth, dry and super delicate), we paid €126.

Where to eat in Paris

The atmosphere was warm and intimate, with very good music at just the right volume: it was enjoyable but you could chat without any problems.

40 Rue des Blancs Manteaux, 75004 Paris.

Eels

A Michelin star restaurant located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris . It is an office area and is always full. Modern French haute cuisine with a great selection of wines. They are friendly and the kitchen is in view. I recommend that you book through Google Maps, so you don't go in vain .

27 rue d'Hauteville, 75010 Paris.

Restaurant Auguste – Gaël Orieux, signature cuisine in Paris

Restaurant Auguste – Gaël Orieux, located a few minutes walk from the Invalides, is a hidden Michelin-starred restaurant that is very sophisticated and, I might say, niche: there is no music, everything is focused on good tasting, so if you are looking for a bit of atmosphere, it may be lacking.

We ate super delicious food and although they have several tasting menus for €120 in 5 courses and a pairing of 3 glasses of wine for €66, at midday there is a starter, main course and dessert menu for €45 and it is really worth it.

54 rue de Bourgogne, Paris 75007.

The Office

It's a very small signature bistro in the 9th district of Paris. It's small and you eat by candlelight. At first it seems very small, but the energy of this place will make you leave feeling like it was a great night .

It has a limited menu (just the way I like it) but a selective and long (and very good) wine list. The highlights are the Wellington steak and the suckling pig with vegetables and wine sauce. The service is excellent and you will have a good time. Only from Monday to Friday.

3 rue Richer, Paris 75009.

INTERNATIONAL CUISINE PARIS

Roast

We started with some delicious empanadas and then we moved on to the dishes.

The best Milanesa sandwich in Paris? The best Milanesa sandwich in Paris was ordered by Anto and I had the medium-cooked meat with mashed potatoes . What a country !

The service was super friendly, they are patient, they take care of you. And the red wine… Malbec that gives you years of life with every sip.

For dessert, another Argentine specialty, with cornstarch alfajores and ice cream . Don't miss it because if you're Argentine, it's one of the few reliable places to eat our food, where the meat is Argentine and the dulce de leche is dulce de leche .

If you are not Argentine, you will go and you will want to travel to Argentina .

6 Pass. des Panoramas, 75002 Paris.

The Classic

We went to eat empanadas (very good) and I also found a burrata as a starter that I thought was incredible.

There are several locations and we went to the one near the Luxembourg Gardens and we loved the empanadas. Excellent service, dessert and also the wine.

46 Rue Madame 75006 Paris.

South Coffee

It's Tango and nostalgia. Nacho, who is a genius at managing the restaurant's grill, will do everything possible to ensure you eat delicious food.

Milanesas, roast beef and the best Argentine and Chilean wines with exceptional service .

A must-see if you are near Notre Dame Cathedral .

35 Boulevard Saint Germain, 75005 Paris.

POSTA, A MEETING PLACE

If you want to eat some good empanadas, a pork sandwich or have a fernet with coke , at Posta you will find the best prices , you will eat well and you will find a very magical atmosphere .

We celebrate a few birthdays here and although it is small, it has an energy that we love and many Saturday nights, we stop by to get something to eat and meet up with friends . I recommend it.

43 rue de Charenton, 75012 Paris.

Russian-Ukrainian cuisine in Kalinka

Just a few steps from the legendary Folies Bergere, an area full of hotels, you can try the most traditional Russian-Ukrainian food from Paris with classics such as Borstch, beef Stroganof or the typical Pojarski .

I loved it and it took me back to those very particular flavours that mark a totally unique culture and geography. We shared a starter (delicious ravioli) and a main course each with a half-litre pint of wine and a glass of juice and spent €84 . The dishes are very generous. We will return.
