Don't know what to do with those old CDs? If so, then we will teach you how to make a bird with CD records the easy way.
This DIY project is very fun to do and best of all, it is very simple to make.

#1: Materials


- Some CDs
- A small wooden sphere.
- A walnut-shaped wood to form the body.
- Hot silicone
- Wood glue
- Scalpel
- Kitchen scissors
- Rule
- Black plasticine
- Round balsa sticks
- Vitraplom gold color
- Fuchsia and purple markers.
#2: Body of the bird


- Glue the two wooden figures and let dry.
#3: Cut CDs


- Cut the CD a little with kitchen scissors.
- To separate the two layers, the scalpel is used as seen in the video.
- Make the following shape with the ruler and the scalpel on the CDs that are going to be used and with the scissors we cut through the guide the 4 pieces that form the wings and the different sizes of triangles come out of the square to glue them. The body and the head.
#4: Paste the CD cuts


- Plue the sides of the CDs.
- For the face that we are not going to use, put glue and then glue the two equal parts.
#5: Wings




- We place the first layer of wings, we place a dot of glue on each of them, then successively we place the different pieces to form the hummingbird wings.
#6: Tail



- Form the shape of the hummingbird's tail and glue one piece onto another as seen in the images.
- If a longer tail is desired, pieces of different sizes are made.
#7: Organize the wings on the hummingbird



- Using silicone we glue the wings to the body of the hummingbird.
#8: Hummingbird Body




- Glue each of the cut triangles on the body with silicone from bottom to top
#9: Hummingbird Beak





- With the 5 mm diameter round balsa stick we measure a length of 8 cm and divide it into two parts, the upper part will be the longest and with a rounded tip and the lower part is shorter and flatter.
- Then with the gold Vitraplon paint the beak, leaving the paint lumpy or uneven to give it a bit of realism and detail.
- Finally, glue the two parts, one on top of the other, leaving them half open.
#10: Eyes



- With the plasticine make a ball approximately 1 cm in diameter.
- With the scalpel, we divide it in half, place it in a strainer and let it dry.
- Finally, glue the two parts to the top of the beak leaving it half open.
#11: Eye contour



- To form the outline of the eyes, we painted a CD on the white part with the fuchsia and purple markers, we cut it into smaller triangles to glue them on the head next to the beak. Finally, we glue the plasticine eyes made above the contours.
- And we finish the remaining spaces by filling the head to give the final result.
#12: Finishing



- Hang inside or outside the house for decoration.
