Amazing Wooden Spiral Lamp, the dowels I used are approximately 7 cm (2.75 inches) long with a diameter of 5 mm (0.19 inches), so the entire lamp is quite small, but it can also be made with larger dowels.
Step 1: Materials and tools

- 124 Wooden Dowels: you can get them here.
- Hot glue
- Piece of cardboard
- Rule
- Pencil
- Bulb and lamp holder
- I used hot glue because it dries much faster (and I admit that I am very impatient sometimes).
- If you want a better result with more resistance, use white glue which is perfect for wood.
Step 2:

Take 4 dowels and glue them together to create a square, as you can see in the images.
Each pin is one side of the square.
The 2 end parts of the pegs are round: I glued them so that you can see a round side for each of them.
I'm sure it's much easier to understand by looking at the photos!
Make 31 equal squares this way.
Step 3:

Now start taking 2 squares: place one on top of the other, turning it a little to the right, so that the edges of one square do not touch those of the other square.
Always look at the images for a better understanding.
Make sure your squares always have the same side facing. They should look identical.
Glue them together where the squares intersect.
I glued only 2 opposite sides, but you can glue them all if you prefer.
Add another square on top of the others doing the exact same process.
Keep doing this until you have glued 28 squares, one on top of the other (always rotating them).
The rotation will automatically create the spiral effect.
Step 4:

My dowels are 7 cm long (2.75 inches), so I cut a 7x7 cm square of cardboard.
Adjust this measurement to the size of your cleats.
Trace the outline of your lamp holder in the center of the cardboard square and cut it out.
Your lamp holder will pass through this hole to remain still inside the lamp.
Glue the cardboard square to the bottom of your spiral lampshade.
Step 5:

Take the remaining 3 wooden squares you made earlier.
Glue them on top of each other, turning the middle one upside down. This way, the side you are facing will look different from the other side.the others.
DO NOT rotate the squares this time.
All you have to do now is glue these 3 frame squares to the bottom of your lamp shade and you're done!
Insert your bulb and lamp holder into the lamp and try it... The effect of the light coming out of the spiral is incredible! 🙂
