Vikki Campion Joins NSW One Nation as Advisor Role 2026

Vikki Campion, the News Corp columnist and wife of federal One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce, has officially begun working as an advisor for NSW One Nation ahead of the March state election. Campion confirmed to Guardian Australia that she started as a part-time contractor for the party's state executive this week, marking a significant development in Australian politics.

Who is Vikki Campion?

Vikki Campion is a prominent News Corp columnist and political contractor with over six years of experience across various campaigns and candidates. She is married to Barnaby Joyce, a federal One Nation MP and former deputy prime minister. Campion writes a weekly column for The Saturday Telegraph, with her most recent piece published on 9 October.

Campion's New Role with NSW One Nation

Campion's new role involves advising the NSW One Nation state executive, a separate entity from the federal party. She assisted the NSW One Nation leader and candidate for Cessnock, Mike Newman, with a press conference in the Hunter electorate on Tuesday. Campion emphasized that her work is publicly disclosed on her website and that her affiliation with One Nation is well-known through media reports. Disclosure and Transparency

When asked if she would disclose her work for the party in future columns, Campion stated, "As an opinion writer, I don't think anyone who has read my column would be shocked that I would want to help One Nation." Her transparency highlights the intersection of media and politics in Australia. A closer look at the same subject appears in Barnaby Joyce Dog Yell on ABC 7.30: What Happened?.
