In recent years, our author has been to Paris several times and explored numerous places in the French capital. In this article she presents some places that she can particularly recommend.
Wenn man an Paris denkt, denkt man sofort an den Eiffelturm, den Louvre oder an die leckeren Patisserien. Abgesehen von diesen Attraktionen, die zugegebenermaßen auch zu meinen Highlights zählen, gibt es noch weitere Orte die ich empfehlen kann. Deswegen möchte ich hier meine 8 persönlichen Lieblingsorte in Paris vorstellen.
Since Paris is one of the largest cities in Europe, there is always a lot of activity there - which I personally really like. For this reason, I recommend always paying attention to whether there might be a celebration, festival or even a market of some kind during the planned travel period - assuming you are interested in it.

1. Die wunderschönen Pariser Kirchen
An architectural highlight for me is the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Montmartre. The majestic church is beautiful with its many bay windows and towers. Its appearance is not deceptive, as the interior of the church is also breathtaking, where it is lavishly decorated. The apse-shaped ceiling in the Sacré-Cœur Basilica is a gigantic mosaic depicting Jesus Christ - a stunning sight.
The church of Saint-Étienne-du-Mont also left a lasting impression on me. From the outside it seems rather inconspicuous, but as soon as you enter it, all its splendor is revealed. Large, colorful stained glass windows tell stories and bathe the room in a special light. I was also very impressed by the ornate spiral staircases.
2. Das Shoppingangebot in Paris
Ebenso begeistert bin ich vom Shoppingangebot in Paris – mindestens genauso sehr wie von den Kirchen. Wer gerne einkauft, ist im riesigen Einkaufszentrum Les Forum des Halles goldrichtig. Hier findet man wirklich alles, was das Herz begehrt. Manchmal finden dort sogar kleine, private Fußballturniere statt, welche die Jugendlichen vor Ort selbst organisieren.

Natürlich sollte man bei der Champsélysées einen kleinen Abstecher machen – hier kann man schöne Souvenirs kaufen und den prächtigen Arc de Triomphe de l´Étoile bewundern.

3. Spaziergänge abseits der Massen in Paris
Ein echter Geheimtipp ist der Chemin de Fer de la Petite Ceinture – eine Ringbahn aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, die seit Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts stillgelegt ist. Die Gleise werden heute nicht mehr genutzt und bieten eine spannende Möglichkeit für einen Spaziergang abseits der Touristenpfade – einer meiner absoluten Lieblingsorte in Paris.
In addition, the many small streets with their cute shops and cafés invite you to take a leisurely walk or have an ice cream (depending on the weather). Afterwards, I often ate in one of the numerous great restaurants - I would particularly like to recommend two of them.

4. Au Bourguignon du Marais
Im Restaurant Au Bourguignon du Marais findet man eine vielfältige Auswahl: Burger, Gulasch, Salate sowie verschiedene Vorspeisen und Desserts. Das Essen war hervorragend genauso wie die Bedienung (obwohl es brechend voll war – also mein Tipp: vorher reservieren). Hier würde ich jedem, der in Paris ist, einen Abstecher empfehlen – das Restaurant zählt definitiv zu meinen Lieblingsorten in Paris.
5. La Brigade
Das zweite Restaurant, La Brigade, ist eher für Fast Food und fleischlastige Gerichte bekannt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen wurde schnell serviert – perfekt für eine unkomplizierte Mahlzeit zwischendurch.
