Today we will teach you how to build a small concrete wheelbarrow ramp in a practical and easy way. For this project, work was done with concrete patches before, but it is not as necessary.

Materials:
- Quikrete – Repair of structural polymer modified concrete
- Palette
- Waste wood
In this project, the limit was one bag of concrete. But, Quikrete – Polymer Modified Structural Concrete Repair had to be used. It comes in a 20 pound bucket which would be a total of $20 dollars. I ended up using 2 cubes. This is a type of cement that you can actually sculpt if you wanted to. It can be used in various vertical repairs.
You can keep costs down, so you can add various fillers and props from leftover scraps. At the top of the ramp, two cut pieces of concrete blocks were placed and at the bottom of the ramp, pieces of wood were used with a couple of rocks to stabilize.

Hardware cloth was cut and placed over the openings in the top steps. Gravel was also added to the soil. You can also use puffed newspaper as an alternative.

Then I put together some items to use as fillers and support, and placed them within arm's reach because this dries quickly. I used broken pieces of concrete and some cuts of reinforcing bars.

Some wood was cut to fit the lengths of the steps and concrete blocks were used for the side supports. The wood was then attached to the blocks with tape.

Then a rope is glued to the boards, going from the top of the ramp to the bottom, a rope was used to create a line and follow the slope.

There are no photos on how to add the cement mixture because this material is quick drying. It takes an average of 15 minutes after mixing before it hardens. An average of 40% filler was added.
Chunks of cement fill were pushed into the batches as they were poured. At the bottom of the ramp, between the layers, the rebar was added and also another piece of hardware fabric along the step.
For the top layers, no filler was added to the mix.

To level, I used a trowel to smooth the top and then wiped with a large, damp sponge to harden it.
After cleaning, I removed the boards and began sculpting the edges with a spatula to round them a little. This was basically dragging the knife along the edge and wiping with a sponge.

It needed to be kept moist and cured for 7 days to get stronger. So to keep it moist and protect it from the 35 degree nights, I used two old bath towels and wrapped them around the ramp. I soaked the towels with water and then covered them, first with a plastic tarp and then with a blanket.
This worked great, only had to soak the towels once during the week.

And this is the result after 7 days. The slope is a little clumsy, more like a skating ramp.

The landscape rock will eventually be added to the top and bottom levels of the wall so that there is not a large gap at the edges.

Remember that if you use normal cement bags, the entire project would be much cheaper.
