Like applying a grout or grout to the floor, the grout is totally necessary to cover the joints between the ceramics of the floor and the skirting board, it serves to give consistency, while preventing the intrusion of water and dirt.
Before starting to pour the grout, first you have to remove well with a spatula or sponge, the remains and splashes of the cement that has been applied. The surface must be clean and dry to fill the joints.

Materials
- white cement (or already prepared colored joint)
- dye
- water
Tools
- drill
- mixing rod
- valve or bucket to mix
- rubber brush
- sponge
- scourer
- spatula
- rag
- gloves
Procedure
Recommendations: I recommend using gloves for your hands, the white cement or gasket will crack your hands. In addition, it is also advisable to use a mask due to the dust generated when performing the task.
#1. We can use either white cement and colorant to obtain the color we want, or flashing with the color already prepared. In case of using white cement and coloring, we pour into a bucket or bucket the proportion of color that we want to obtain, you will see that.
The final mixture has to be rather liquid, more or less like a custard, it cannot be watery but not cakey either. If you buy the flashing already with the color, we will follow the manufacturer's instructions.

#2. We pour the already prepared grout mixture on the floor of a room, and spread it with a rubber brush over the entire surface of the room. We must give the grout several passes so that the joints are well filled with the product.
We collect the excess grout for another room. To put the grout on the skirting board, we must let the paste (grout) harden a little, and then with the help of a spatula insert it into the gaps, then we continue with the same procedure as for the floor: sponge, wait, rough cloth...

#3. We wait a few minutes until the grout sets and we will proceed to clean it with a damp sponge. The sponge strokes should be diagonal, thus ensuring that the mixture penetrates better.

#4. After an hour, with the grout hardened, we can clean the remains in a more thorough way, with an esparto pad or rough cloth.

#5. And that's it, job done.
