Whenever I start losing hope in humanity, it gets restored as soon as I witness animals being rescued and adopted. It restores my faith in humanity and makes me realize that humanity and kindness still exist. You would be surprised to know that sadly, millions of homeless dogs are caught and put to sleep all across the world. As per the stats by The Humane Society of the United States, about 3.4 million dogs & cats are euthanized in the US. These poor animals couldn’t find a forever home.

Whenever you decide to get a dog for yourself, you’d have two choices. Either you opt to buy a purebred dog for which you would not mind paying a hefty amount OR you could just simply adopt a dog from a shelter home and give them a new life. I understand that everyone has their own choices and they are free to choose but if you are a true animal lover, you would choose to adopt rather than opting to buy a dog. The feeling you’d get after providing a home to a homeless dog, certainly cannot be described in words. “This is Jake. We adopted him in January, and he is a senior. All it took was some love (and many belly rubs), and I’m happy to say he’s finally living the life he always deserved.”

Kasper is a dog from Romania, and he had to travel a long way to join his new owners in the UK. They jokingly said, “Has yet to integrate and learn the language. Very good boy nonetheless.”

5. This handsome guy is known as Bug.

Scared and confused, Bug was brought to a shelter from the streets. A volunteer liked her at first glance and promised, “Tomorrow I’ll return to take you home.” Bug was probably betrayed by people before and didn’t believe her. However, she realized how happy she could be at her new owner’s home.

6. Leo loves posing for the camera!

Leo was unfortunately hit by a car. But after being given proper care and love, Leo lives a happy life with his owners even with his disabilities.

Back in the shelter, Piper was a very shy doggo. A woman who was suffering from epilepsy adopted Piper. Later on, she realized that Piper could predict her seizures and even prevent them from happening!

Due to a minor skin condition, Scarlett was about to be euthanized but her owner just came in time for her rescue. And now she lives a happy life.
