Not everyone wants to be a parent.

I know that not everyone would like to hear this but this is true. And while people are getting more freedom when it comes to their choice, this wasn’t the case a few years ago. A lot of people had to have kids just because that is how society pressured them to be. I cannot even imagine how it must feel to be forced to have kids even though you didn’t have any intention of having them. This can lead to the kids feeling neglected and that isn’t great for the parents or the kids.

That is clearly what is happening in this particular story. This woman didn’t want to have kids in the first place but she ended up having them. But she felt immense relief when they finally grew up and left to be their independent self. Her son decided to have kids of his own and as you can imagine, she didn’t really want to be a Grandma either but there was nothing she could do. She is trying her best to show them love but her heart just isn’t in it.

From what I can tell, she does love her children but she has always felt suffocated with them around. So when they left, she actually felt relieved and there is nothing wrong with that. if she wasn’t forced into this position int eh first place, none of this would have happened. Not everyone wants to be a parent and that is totally fine. You can’t really force yourself to care for someone even if you feel awful. She tried her best but it just wasn’t enough for her son. He clearly feels neglected as well and he is well-within his right to feel that. But money wise these two things are very different.

People could tell straightaway that this was a bigger issue than she let on.

But moneywise those two things are not the same and he cannot expect that much from her.

Every person is different and she just isn’t like that.

But if she wants to remain in his family, she needs to work harder to show her love.
