How to Achieve the Quilted Aluminum Effect for your Walls, we will try to imitate the same effect of the quilted aluminum flash. Please comment if you try this tutorial. We would like to receive your comments and advice. Greetings!
Step 1: Tools and materials

Here is a list of what you will need:
- Carpenter's square
- Tape measure
- Tin cuttings
- A BIG, long level (used as a template, not for leveling)
- Hacksaw.
- Aluminum roll (not galvanized): 20″ x 10′ roll
- Contact cement (brush or roller to apply it)
- Aluminum J threshold (comes in 10 feet at hardware stores)
Step 2: Cut to Fit

Unroll the flashing and cut the pieces to size. Be sure to make notches for windows and sockets as necessary. It was decided to make each wall as a separate piece after handling the material; It's fragile
Next: dry fit each piece. The next step is tedious, so don't waste time on a piece that won't fit.
Optional Trimming: While dry-fitting each piece, cut and glue the J edge in place using contact cement (follow product instructions). Hold the edge in place while the glue dries.
Step 3: One way

To get the engraved lines perfectly square and rotated, use a carpenter's square on the bottom edge of the aluminum. The hypotenuse of the tool is at 45 degrees. Place your long level on that edge and try to line up the top of the level with one of the corners of the aluminum.
Once the level is in place, press it to hold it still while sliding to the side. Put a moderate amount of pressure. I used the roller (or concave).
Once you've rolled your first line, move the level again and use the first line as a guide for the second and pass next line. DO NOT slide the level across the face of the blade. You will scratch the surface. Raise the level and replace it in the next position.
Continue with these steps until you have the entire sheet aligned in the same direction.
Step 4: Opposite direction

Now it's time to make squares. Flip your carpenter's square over and align your level in the opposite direction of the lines you previously rolled. Try to position the level so that your next lines form a complete square on the top or bottom of each piece, whichever you prefer.
Continue rolling as you did in the previous step.
Step 5: Paste it!

You are ready to install.
Follow the instructions on the can of contact cement, paint the wall and the back of the flash. Wait 5 minutes for both to get sticky. Use a towel instead of your fingers when pressing on the aluminum. Fingerprints are all overas parts.
Step 6: Optional Adjustment

Take a look at the J edge. The metal is just finished at the end of the counter. The J molding slides right over the edge of the flashing hiding any imperfections. It was very easy and didn't take long at all. Thank you for visiting us!
