On this occasion we will teach you how to make your own hanging rocking chair with a pallet in simple steps that you can do yourself. An easy and economical job, which will look perfect on the terrace or garden at home.

We will remove the backrest and seat from the pallet, and we will join both parts together with some screws. To reinforce the structure, we will add some pine slats.

Step by step on how to make a hanging rocking chair with a pallet

We review the wooden surface with a delta-shaped sander, which will allow us to comfortably reach hard-to-reach areas, and a sheet of coarse-grain sandpaper.

Once we have removed the dust produced, we attach the backrest to the seat with some screws and calculate the size of the reinforcements.

We trace the cutting lines and carry out the cuts, with the help of the jigsaw. It is convenient to hold the pieces to the table with clamps.

We present the pieces on the rocking chair and hold them with lag bolts. As the structure will be outdoors, we recommend that these be stainless, so that they do not rust with humidity.

Now let's get to the finish. We pour an acrylic enamel into the tank of the gun and add the amount of water indicated by the manufacturer.
