Concrete Lamp for Outdoor Environments, since I made the first set of concrete lamps, I was asked to produce another one. This time it had to be easier to make, it had to be bigger and with the option of placing it outdoors. After some brainstorming here is the attempted improvement.
What you will need:
- Led strip lights
- Felt Sheet
- Cement.
- Large vase (I used a height of 24 inches x 7 inches)
- Drill bits
- Drill
- Random tree branch
- Spray paint
- Flashing metal
Step 1: Make the storage for the Led driver

I took a piece of foam. Cut it to create a cylinder. I closed it by taping the side. then cut a circle to close one end. A paper cup would also work.
Step 2: Creating the form for the concrete

I used a piece of metal to create the concrete shape.
First I marked the metal flashing for the bottom of the form, I made this height 5 inches. Next, I marked 2 inches above the first line.
At this point, you will have two parallel lines.
Now wrap the metal flashing around the vase. Tape the flashing closed on the loose end. By the way, I'm using a large vase that measures 24 inches tall by 7 inches.
Next, I took two 1-inch rubber stamps and followed the line around the inside. Following the line I drew. I did this twice, which gave me a two-inch path around the inside.
This part will reduce the size of the interior, which will make the concrete fit well.
Step 3: Mixing the concrete

Take a piece of aluminum foil, place it on a flat surface. Then I follow the vase and then the foam glass as shown.
Use hot glue to secure the cup and then flashing to mark.
Mix the concrete and pour it into the form.
After a few days, remove the flashing and rubber seal. The bottom was smooth so I only had to sand the top.
Step 4: Use a tree branch

I took a tree branch and sprayed it with black paint. Allow sufficient time to dry.
Depending onWhatever size tree branch you choose, use an appropriately sized masonry bit.
I use a 1/2 inch drill bit to go deeper into the foam cup. Test that everything fits well.
Step 5: Install the light

Drill a hole in the bottom of the concrete form for the power end to pass through. Then, use hot glue to hold the plug in place.
Pass the power end of the Led lights through the top and then connect it to the power cord.
Step 6: Add the lights

Then place the branch in the vase and feed more Leds as you go.
Now feel the vase on the concrete. I placed a felt pad on the bottom to protect any surface.
Step 7: The end

I love how this lamp turned out. LED String Lights work extremely well. I was able to get this lamp to work from about 50 feet away. I hope you have fun when you make yours.
