"N" Table: Build a Nintendo 64 Logo Table, the Nintendo 64 or N64 was released in 1996 and had so many incredible games like "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time", "Super Smash Bros." and "007".
A few months ago, I found a photo of a table like this on Facebook. I thought, “I could do this.” This was around the same time I was looking for some gifts for my family. I feel bad because in my rush to finish this I missed taking photos of a few steps. I hope that with my documentation we can fill in the blanks. Let's do it!
Step 1: Necessary Supplies

- 2 6x6x8 foot wooden posts
- 32 3-inch retaining screws
- 1 4-inch screwdriver (handle will need to be cut off)
- Wood glue
- 2 Cans of wood filler
- 2 Cans of spray paint (each color): Blue, green, red, yellow.
Step 2: Cut and organize the wood

Cut the wood to 4 lengths of 17 3/4 and 4 lengths of 19 3/4.
Flat wood from 5.5 inches to just 5 inches.
From boards that are 19 3/4 inches long, cut 45-degree angles on the ends. These will be the diagonal connecting lines as part of the "N".
Drill 32 holes total (8 on each diagonal piece) deep enough for the screws to hold the N shape together.
Step 3: Assemble

Glue and assemble the eight pieces two at a time (one corner piece and one diagonal piece). The reason you want to assemble it into four identical pieces is so you can do most of the assembly with a drill and not have to use a screwdriver.
Step 4: Fill Holes, Gaps and Sand

Once fully assembled, check all joints. Wherever there is a space, fill it. Fill all the holes used for the screws as well. Sand everything lightly.
Step 5: Paint everything
The last step is to paint everything with the correct color scheme.
This is the YouTube video I found to show you the color scheme. You will find a description of the color scheme in the images as well.
When I painted it the first time it was very cold outside and the paint didn't dry as well as I expected. Because of this, I ended up needing to paint everything again. But in the end it was worth it. Just remember to let the paint dry completely before doing it for the next color.
I think the table turned out very well and I am more than happy to give it as a gift.
Step 6: Final Touches

After having this table for a year, some interesting things have happened to the 6x6. Knowing they were green when they originally worked with them (there weren't any options nearby) they ended up cracking.
If you had to do this again, I would suggest starting with something more stable. If you're like me and don't really have anything to use, I would consider making it a 2x4. Just an idea. Good luck!
