Dating people with whom we share differences can provoke debates. Especially the societal debate about relationships with large age disparities throws light on different aspects of having the relationship. Some talk about the cons of being exploited by the older partner and some about the pros. Although there are instances of exploitative relationships with significant age gaps, dating someone considerably older than you isn’t inherently problematic. In fact, for some individuals, it can offer numerous positive benefits.

Today’s AITA story featured an OP who expressed doubts about the compatibility of a potential relationship, as the person asking them out is 35 years old while they are 22 years old. Still, she agreed, and here’s where the problem came in.
