I made this petoskey stone necklace with a Michigan petoskey that I cut and crafted the turtle from solid copper. Petoskey stones are remnants of an ancient coral reef deposited in Michigan by glaciation. The stone measures about 10 mm and is a domed round. The pendant as a whole is about 1.22 inches tall or 31 mm. I made the cord as well. It's black leather with copper components. After applying a light antiquing (intentional darkening of the metal to make the hand hammered details in the turtle more visible) I coated the copper of the pendant with resin to help keep it from tarnishing. The cord components will naturally oxidize over time. The cord is about 20 inches in length. This is a cool necklace that anyone can wear and would make a great gift. Props and necklace holders not included. The pictures show the two necklaces I have made and available. You'll recieve one of these two.
