OP and their fiancé feel angry towards the family, and tensions rise as their family threatens not to attend the wedding.

OP clarified the true events to their brother, who readily believed them. The brother revealed that his decision to move away was partly influenced by their parents’ mistreatment.
OP and her fiancé took proactive steps to secure their wedding arrangements by setting passwords with most of their vendors and the venue directly. They made the decision to cancel the catering that was initially paid for by OP’s parents. The canceled bachelor parties were replaced with a family and friends cooking session.
