Excellent trick for covering vinyl without leaving bubbles Nowadays, covering furniture and doors with self-adhesive vinyl has become an excellent alternative to decorate various environments and completely renew them. However, to place this material, some experience is required to achieve a smooth surface.

In perfect ideas we will teach you an excellent trick that will make you have a finish like a professional, we will use matte gray self-adhesive to renew the door of a kitchen unit.
Step by step video
For this project you will need the following materials:
- A sprayer that you will have filled with water and a drop of dish soap.
- A glass cleaning scraper.
- Cutter and scissors.
The materials are very easy to obtain and above all very economical!

Procedure
First, clean with alcohol to remove any remaining cleaning product, wax, grease, dust and others. Then, moisten the surface that you are going to cover with the vinyl with the sprayer.

The point is not to soak it in water but only to create a thin wet film so that the vinyl sticks and peels off without deforming. This way you can rectify its position in case an air bubble forms.
Even if the surface to be covered is small, it is not advisable to remove all the protective paper. It is more convenient to peel off approximately 5 centimeters and fix it on the door or piece of furniture. Use a scraper to push the adhesive vinyl and remove the protective paper.
The advantage of using the glass cleaning scraper over a spatula is that the scraper covers a larger surface area, making it more efficient than the spatula in preventing air bubbles from forming. In addition, the rubber on the scrapers prevents the adhesive vinyl from being damaged during installation.

If you see air bubbles forming, simply peel off the vinyl and stick it again. And if you notice small bubbles forming, don't worry too much as most are reabsorbed once the surface has dried (normally after 2 or 3 hours).

If there are still bubbles, apply hot air with a hair dryer while smoothing the bubble with a spatula. And if despite that, the bubbles persist... prick the bubble with a needle or pin and apply hot air again.
Here are the 5 very simple steps to apply vinyl:
1.- Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol
2.- Moisten with water and a drop of dish soap
3.- Partially peel off the protective paper
4.- Fix the vinyl with the help of a glass cleaning scraper
5.- Wait for it to dry. If there are any bubbles left... use a needle, a hair dryer or a spatula.
