Incredible tricks for working with wood, carpentry is a modality that not only allows you to make incredible furniture for your home, but also gives us the option to learn many varieties of finishes.
At this time, we will teach you some incredible tricks that will facilitate all your work with wood, making the work easier.
Learn these incredible tips to make your wood work easier.

1- Perform two sandings on the wood, either manually or with a machine. Between the two, it is best to moisten the wood a little, something that will help you sand the second time.

2- If you are using manual sandpaper, first use the coarse grain sandpaper to remove everything that sticks out. Then fine to obtain a neater finish. If you are using an electric sandpaper and the wood is varnished, make sure that the revolutions of the machine are at a minimum level as you could damage both.
3- If you have to sand large surfaces and you don't have a sander at home, you can attach the sandpaper to a mason's trowel with adhesive tape, this way the work will be simpler.

The second point is related to preventing the wood from splintering or cracking. And, if it is cracked, we will try to repair it.
4- Before cutting wood that you do not want to splinter, a good trick is to place packing tape (adhesive tape) over the area we want to cut. This will prevent it from separating and the cut will be clean.

5- If you notice that the wood has cracks, you can treat it with putty. Pour the mixture into the gap and then sand until both parts are even. On the contrary, if the crack is large, place a wedge the size of the gap. Use a little glue and a little pressure.

6- You can make the putty at home. You will only have to mix wood, sawdust and white glue. To make the preparation more resistant, insert wooden toothpicks into the crack along with this mixture.
7- When we are going to place a screw in the wood, it is most likely that it will split or that the screw will no longer fit easily. For this reason, it is recommended to wipe the screw with hand soap or wax. Then, hit the tip with the hammer itself, and if that doesn't work, place the tip of the nail in boiling water. This way the wood will not suffer any damage.

8- To remove a nail without damaging the wood, we place a block next to the nail itself and leverage it with the hammer, or failing that with the pliers.

9- If you want to avoid hurting yourself when nailing, you just have to put the nail between the tines of a comb or with the help of an elongated piece of cardboard, proceed to nail and get closer to the wood. The distance will be enough to not hit you.

The last point to consider is to preserve the wood so that it resists the passage of time in the best possible way.
10- For this case, moisten a cloth with milk, this way you hydrate and preserve the wood. When it dries, you just have to wipe the entire wood with a clean cloth. Another very effective trick is to apply paste wax (previously diluted in turpentine) on the wood.
