Make a solar panel by reusing beverage cans, today many new projects emerge so that we have at our fingertips technology that a few years ago we didn't even think existed.
That is why today we are going to learn how to make homemade solar heating using beverage cans, an interesting project ideal for small spaces like a room.
As you can also reduce light consumption substantially, there is no doubt that it is an ideal project to use direct sunlight in arid areas with infrequent rainfall.
Learn step by step of this interesting project.
#Step 1
You will have to look for 196 aluminum soda cans to recycle. You will make a hole in each of the cans at the top and bottom.
We wash the cans to remove possible remains of drink and garbage.

#Step 2
You will join the cans with high temperature silicone. The idea is that you form columns of 14 cans, a total of 14 columns with 14 cans each.

#Step 3
The air from our home solar heating will pass through these ducts.

Step 4
You must begin by assembling the collection drawer.
Materials to use:
- Plywood boards.
- White wood glue.
- High temperature silicone.
- Mineral rock wool (as insulation).

#Step 5
When the box is joined and dry, you will seal it with rock wool.

#Step 6
Take a piece of wood the size of the drawer and make 14 openings in it measuring the circumference of the cans. The ducts will fit there.

#Step 7
Here we assemble the pieces, start by placing a silicone bead at the end of each can conduit and join it to the hole in the wood. Repeat this with all 14 ducts.

#Step 8
Open two holes in the collector drawer, then through these holes the tubes that will transport the air inlet and outlet of the heater will be connected.

#Step 9
Place an aluminum tube in each hole (one will be the air inlet and the other will be the air outlet).

#Step 10
We painted the columns with matte caloric black paint so that it absorbs more heat and our home heating gains efficiency.

#Step 11
We cover the box with polycarbonate. The heater can heat the air to around 70 or 80ºC, making it a fantastic option to reduce our consumption of electricity or natural gas.
WARNING: Place your heater in a place where the wind blows and sunlight falls cleanly without obstructions.
