Wooden Helper to Read a Book Easier, this article will show you how to build a small triangle that will keep your book open. It is very useful and easy to use when reading a book.
Step 1: Supplies/Tools

The first step is to gather your supplies. You will need the following:
- A large piece of 3/4 inch plywood
- Sandpaper
- Sierra (or similar)
- Drill with a 1-inch drill bit
- Shellac (optional)
Step 2: Drawing

Draw a triangle on the corner of the plywood, making sure the corner is 90 degrees. Make the longest side of the triangle about 3-4 inches long.
Step 3: Drilling

The next step is drilling. I tried cutting it first, but there is a risk of the wood splintering near the thin edges. Use the one inch drill bit.
Step 4: Cutting it

Use the jigsaw carefully along the angled line. Make sure you don't go too fast.
Step 5: Sand/smooth

Use a sanding sponge to smooth out rough edges. A sponge is useful because it can handle curves and edges more easily than sandpaper.
Step 6: Finishing – Optional

Paint it with shellac or another finish to make it shiny.
Step 7: Use it!

Place your thumb in the hole and press the right angle into the seam of the book. It works well if you want to read from your side.
