It takes a lot of effort to create a set.
Even if there is no action in the film, the creators must ensure that the locations are interesting and unique in order to keep the viewer interested. And, while CGI has advanced significantly, not everything can be edited, and it can be expensive. As a result, many times, creators will create sets or modify an existing location to meet their needs. There is a lot of art used to make a movie come to life, from making the place look more luxurious to using creative ways to make sci-fi-looking things.
After all, it’s not just about how good the actor is. While we have seen films and television shows where everything is shot in one location, they are few and far between. As it turns out, many directors use props and sets created by others and used in other films. And if they do it correctly, the audience would never notice. I know I never noticed any of these occurrences.
