Dog Owner Is Furious Roommate Who Doesn’t Follow Rules And Puts Dog In Danger 2026

Having pets like dogs, cats etc is a common norm nowadays, which comes with great responsibility. You have to be careful and vigilant about their food, vaccines, living space etc. And many are good at that just like our OP u/kshjafdnm, who took good care of her dog. Everything was going fine until OP moved into a new apartment with a new roommate, who was a stranger. In a disturbing turn of events, a dispute between roommates concerning the care of OP’s dog has escalated to the point of legal intervention due to the mistreatment of her beloved pet. She tried to handle the situation on her own with the roommate, but nothing worked out and OP had to involve the law enforcers in the matter.

1. OP’s roommate doesn’t listen to her regarding OP’s dog.

2. OP moved into a new apartment, which she had to share with a stranger who seemed to be good at first.

3. OP had a pet dog with her, who had a traumatizing past of pet hoarding and suffers from severe separation anxiety.

4. Not even a day after, OP’s roommate let him out of his crate and he turned the room upside down.

5. OP explained to her roommate that crating was the best option for her dog despite the roommate having contradictory opinions on that.

6. OP believes crating is the perfect solution for her dog’s anxiety.

7. But the stubborn roommate doesn’t listen and lets the dog out of the crate at every chance the OP leave the apartment.
