You'll need to locate and use the "C" wire on your heating unit; if unavailable, there's a workaround, though it sacrifices some fan functionality.
The Wi-Fi setup takes a while and involves creating an account, which is standard. There are numerous settings and preferences to configure. Once completed, the thermostat functions well both manually and through Wi-Fi. My only complaint is that the screen has faint diagonal lines, but considering it's a thermostat and not a 72" flatscreen, this is a minor issue.
Note: Most modern heating systems have a permissive switch in the door frame where the wiring is, and they won't work with the door off. Don't ask how I know or how long it took me to find it!
