I have fully decked out my house with a variety of Philips Hue bulbs. These are the "basic" bulbs as they don't change color. The color changing ones are cool, but in reality for most of the house I just need a light that turns on/off. I have these in the hallways, in the entry ways, outside at the front and back door and the garage.
For me, the top 3 pros for these bulbs are:
- Price. Two of these bulbs are the same price as half of a full color bulb.
- Fully-functional with Hue hub and Alexa.
- Functions are more like a regular light. If you NEED the light on without an app or Alexa, you can flip the switch off and on and the light bulbs will turn on.
These bulbs are great value as they provide more functionality than a standard bulb but without additional accessories. The dimming ability is amazing and I use it more than I thought I would.

I already have a Ring alarm system and some cameras and thought adding these to my existing ecosystem would be handy. It turns out it was. The positives I see are:
1 - The connections are through the Ring bridge instead of individual bulbs. This helps reduce WiFi pings/demand compared to others that require individual connection to WiFi.
2 - No additional apps are needed to run them beyond existing Ring app and the integration with alarm and cameras is seamless.
3 - Range is really good. i have a couple of bulbs 60-70 feet from the bridge and the connections are good. I am sure it they would be outside of the range of my WiFi.
4 - Integration with Alexa is automatic if you already have Alexa set up. The down side appears to be cost compared to other options but if you have a Ring system already it is worth the difference in my opinion.

These seem really good so far. People seem to have trouble with the sengled app, but it has many options for the color changing lights like these. I haven’t had a problem with the app. If anything, the Alexa integration is what’s lacking.
It works, and I can give commands to turn them in and off with Alexa but the real options are in the Sengled app. We have had one problem with one of the bulbs being unresponsive, but I believe that was our network not reaching it, not a problem with the bulb.

I've had one of Govee's older bluetooth bulbs for a few years now, and it's never let me down, so when I saw this pack go on sale I decided to grab them for one of my overhead lights. Best decision.
First up, if you're just looking for some really bright, warm or cool white bulbs, these will do the job for you. When I first turned them on, it was almost blinding! Definitely brighter than the regular bulbs I was using before.
But the REAL reason I bought these was for the RBG. Like all of Govee's stuff, these have endless color options and some really awesome color presets if you want a pretty light show to set the mood or have a party. I love the app, it's super easy to use. I haven't bothered with wifi connectivity and I don't have an alexa to try it out with, but it works great with just regular bluetooth.
I'd say they're worth the full price, but if you can get them on sale, DO IT. It's so convenient to have all the lights in my room right at my fingertips!

Ahhh, when it takes tech support to fix lights you installed two years ago and they no longer work with Google Home it is time to move on.
Like many reviewers, I searched every corner of the internet trying to find a replacement that will work with my voice assistant with an easy install and upkeep. These bulbs kept getting mentioned so I bought a box of four for my living room. Install Smart Life app and boom, they pair almost immediately. Voice assistant worked perfectly.
Eventually I bought another box and trashed my GE lights. These lights are fantastic, easy to install, and won't randomly stop working and require six hundred instructions to set them up and reinstall and only last a day. A+ product! Highest recommendation for a smart bulb.

I've been needing and wanting more energy efficient bulbs for the upstairs for ages, I also thought it'd be neat to be able to connect them to a smart home system such as with my Alexa. After doing a fair bit of research on reviews and such I decided to try these, then after trying them I used them for a couple months before deciding on a review. I now get to use my smart watch, my smart phone, or my echo dot to control the lights.
While the functionality with Google and Alexa's smart home stuff is basic compared to the manufacturer's app they both still work quite well for basic lighting. These ones in particular are essentially set and forget. You can put them into a standard socket, turn that socket on then pair the lights and just leave the socket on. The app or your voice will control turning them on or off. Even so, if you need to resync them the process is just so darn easy. Took only a handful of seconds per lightbulb!
The app works well and lets you create little scenes that let you go through all sorts of different colors and light intensities to set a mood for just about whatever you're after. The voice commands through Alexa and Google work well though I haven't been able to figure out how to use a scene with them from the app, I don't think you can, but that's alright, for standard lighting you can use both Google and Alexa to set the intensity of the lights, turn them on or off all at once if you group them or separately if you use whatever name you gave the individual light, and even set their color. Overall, I'm quite happy with the purchase.

I almost wrote the setup was easy - but not really. You need to set up in the Cync app then link to google home - but then you can use voice commands from there. It isn’t that bad but requires several steps. Once set up I love the lights. A couple things to note. The white light can be very bright but all colors are not as bright - to my eye I would say 1/3 as bright in maximum.
Also, when you do a programmed setting like ‘rainbow’ there is only one brightness - not very bright. I did not find a way to brighten the standard settings like for rainbow. Also. Just to let you know you can use google to change bulb color (no app needed) - you just say hey google change the light to pink - or change the light to rainbow. Works really well - seems reliable (more reliable than earlier GE bulbs I had.)
Regardless I am quite happy with the purchase and would purchase again.

If you ignore the set up part asking to scan the barcode thing you will have a much easier time setting these up. Open the Alexa app and it will recognize the bulb, there is no need for "pairing." Bulbs are bright and consistent without flicker, also dimmable. Nice soft white color that is not too yellow (2700K bulbs). Great solution for my lamps that are on switched outlets, where smart dimmers on those switches are strongly discouraged.
