I needed to replace my "black screen" failed TV. After researching TV reviews, I chose this Samsung, and I am most pleased with it. Best picture detail and color quality I've ever had. Sound quality is great too. Using my home Wi-Fi service, the initial setup and software update was flawless and easy. The only minor downside is the small & confusing remote but for about $10 another full size remote can be purchased online.

This TV has the latest technology features, and with Internet updates I'll always have the latest future updates available. I'm thoroughly enjoying all TV programs, sports, and movies. Good value for the price.

3. HISENSE 75A6H 4K: Best Value

This TV is quite light for its size and offers an excellent picture when viewed head-on. It has been in service for only 13 days, so durability is yet to be determined. The sound is sufficient for a 24 by 14 room, but I've connected it to a high-end sound system, making this feature irrelevant for me. The fiber optic audio out works well. Navigating channels with the remote can be a bit challenging, but this seems more related to Google TV than the TV itself.

Despite having numerous options, some are hard to find or depend on unclear settings, though the basic setup is straightforward. Despite having a voice remote, I couldn't locate the switch for hands-free operation as mentioned in the instructions. Overall, it's an excellent value for a TV of this size and cost. One drawback is the absence of a standard RCA jack for video in, which may impact connecting an older DVD player.

There's no printed user manual, and the electronic version is lengthy and complex, possibly due to cost-cutting measures. The viewing quality diminishes when seen from an angle, but it remains usable. Despite these considerations, I am very pleased with the TV overall.

4. TCL 75S450F 4K: Best Image Quality

Purchased this to replace a malfunctioning 50" smart TV with picture issues. I adore the Fire TV and the built-in Alexa. The color is fantastic, and the setup was a breeze. Some may say the build feels cheap, but I personally don't discern between types of plastic, and I'm not one to assess build quality constantly.

The price was excellent, and the features are solid. The remote and the operating system are user-friendly. I encountered a minor sound issue on one channel, but customer service guided me through a simple fix. Still a 5-star product, and customer service is included in the rating.

Had this TCL TV for a month, and it outperforms our 65" Sony in picture quality, color, and sharpness. It lacks extensive color adjustments, but out of the box, it didn't need any. I'd probably mess up the settings if I could adjust them. Just go ahead and buy it! Update: 3 months and still very satisfied. Noticed someone had trouble with the optical port for a soundbar; using the HDMI eARC port works great. I haven't tried the onboard speakers as I'm content with the soundbar.

The TV itself is stunning and of excellent quality. Unfortunately, the stock remote is subpar. I struggled to switch inputs, and the remote responded with delays. So I recently acquired the magic remote UQ75, and it seamlessly paired when I pressed the power button. I recommend opting for the magic remote; the stock remote is now in the junk drawer.

Regarding sound quality, I haven't encountered any issues. The audio is impressive. After tweaking the settings and selecting the AI sound option, it creates a surround sound effect.

You will not be disappointed unless, of course, you get a one-off bad electronic unit. No matter what you buy, that happens with electronics. Excellent across the board. Size, quality, and overall build: I recommend. Color vibrancy is finally what one would expect, true to life, bright, as if the same object were sitting in front of you. A top tier buy for an affordable price.

I wanted a 32" 4K TV, but they are rare. SONY had a model at $500+, so I opted for a slightly larger model. I crafted my own stand with wood blocks for it to sit on my desk.

Sony 75 Inch 4K Ultra HD TV X77L Series LED Smart Google TV KD75X77L- 2023 Model, Black - Best 75 inch tv under 1000 - grandgoldman.com

I've tested it with PS2 and PC outputs. The PS2 showed impressive picture and sound quality, improved by 50% or more. 4K movies were noticeably better. Before this, I used a non-4K HDTV from TOSHIBA bought in 2014, so I decided it was time to upgrade.

The remote is surprisingly simple compared to most home appliances. The sound has equalizer functions, making it more lively, and external speakers can be connected. The only issue is that it sits higher on my desk, requiring me to sit further away than with my previous 32" TOSHIBA.

I'm uncertain if it's a genuine SONY product; it could be designed and built in China or Taiwan as an OEM product. Japanese electronics and home appliance companies have struggled, failing to keep up with today's trends, compounded by a dysfunctional government seemingly wanting to destroy Japan.

How to Choose a 75-inch TV Under $1,000

1. Panel Type

Decide between LED, QLED, or OLED panels. LED TVs are the most common and affordable, while QLED TVs offer enhanced brightness and contrast. OLED TVs boast the deepest blacks and most vibrant colors, but they're also more expensive.

2. Resolution

Opt for a 4K UHD resolution for sharp, detailed images. Avoid 8K TVs, as they're still in their early stages and don't offer a significant improvement over 4K for most viewers.

3. HDR Support

Look for HDR compatibility to experience wider color gamut and enhanced contrast. HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision are the most common HDR formats.

4. Refresh Rate

A refresh rate of 60Hz is standard, but 120Hz is ideal for gamers who want smoother motion handling.

5. Smart Features

Choose a TV with a built-in smart platform like Android TV, Google TV, or Roku. This allows you to access streaming apps, browse the internet, and control your smart home devices.

6. Connectivity

Ensure the TV has enough HDMI ports for your devices. Consider Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for easy streaming and wireless connections.

7. Brand Reputation

Research reputable brands with a history of producing high-quality TVs. Popular options include TCL, Vizio, Hisense, and Samsung.

8. Consider Your Viewing Habits

If you watch mostly sports, prioritize high refresh rates and excellent motion handling. For movie enthusiasts, prioritize color accuracy and contrast.

9. Shop around and Compare Prices

Don't rush into a purchase. Compare prices from different retailers and consider sales and promotions.

10. Read Reviews and User Feedback

Check out expert reviews and user feedback like this buyer’s guide, to get an objective assessment of the TV's performance.

Top 75 inch TV under 1000: FAQs

Is $1,000 too much for a TV?

The price of a TV depends on several factors, including size, panel type, resolution, and features. A 75-inch TV can range in price from $800 to $4,000 or more. Whether $1,000 is too much depends on your budget and your expectations for picture quality and features.

Should I buy a 75-inch TV?

A 75-inch TV is a large investment, so it's important to consider whether it's the right size for your viewing environment. If you have a large living room or plan to sit close to the TV, a 75-inch TV can provide an immersive and cinematic experience. However, if your living room is on the smaller side or you prefer to sit further back, a smaller TV might be a better option.

Is OLED still the best?

OLED TVs are known for their superior picture quality, with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and wide viewing angles. They also have excellent motion handling, making them a good choice for watching sports and action movies. However, OLED TVs are also more expensive than other types of TVs, and they can be more susceptible to burn-in if you watch static content for extended periods.

What should I look for in a 75-inch TV?

Here are some of the most important factors to consider when shopping for a 75-inch TV:

  • Panel type: OLED, QLED, or LED
  • Resolution: 4K UHD is the standard, but 8K TVs are also available
  • HDR support: HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision are the most common HDR formats
  • Refresh rate: 60Hz is standard, but 120Hz is better for gaming
  • Smart features: Built-in smart platform like Android TV, Google TV, or Roku
  • Connectivity: HDMI ports, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth
  • Brand reputation: Research reputable brands like TCL, Vizio, Hisense, and Samsung
  • Consider your viewing habits: If you watch mostly sports, prioritize high refresh rates and excellent motion handling. For movie enthusiasts, prioritize color accuracy and contrast.

Which is better: OLED or QLED?

OLED and QLED are both premium TV technologies with their own strengths and weaknesses. OLED TVs offer better picture quality overall, with deeper blacks and more vibrant colors. QLED TVs are brighter and offer wider viewing angles, but they don't have the same level of contrast as OLED TVs.

Are OLED TVs worth it?

OLED TVs are more expensive than other types of TVs, but they offer the best picture quality available. If you're looking for the ultimate home theater experience, an OLED TV is the way to go.

Does 4K look better on a smaller TV?

Yes, 4K will look better on a smaller TV. The higher resolution means that the pixels are closer together, which results in a sharper, more detailed image.

Are cheap 4K TVs worth it?

Some cheap 4K TVs can be a good value, but they may not have the same picture quality as more expensive models. They may have lower brightness levels, narrower viewing angles, or worse motion handling.

Is a QLED TV worth the extra money?

QLED TVs are a good option for people who want a brighter TV with wider viewing angles. However, if you're willing to sacrifice some brightness and viewing angles for better picture quality, an OLED TV might be a better choice.

What is the longest lasting TV?

The lifespan of a TV depends on several factors, including usage, maintenance, and environmental factors. However, in general, OLED TVs are expected to last longer than QLED and LED TVs.

Is Samsung or LG better?

Both Samsung and LG are leading manufacturers of high-quality TVs. Both brands offer a wide range of models to choose from, with varying features and price points. Ultimately, the best brand for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences.

Is 4K enough for 75 inch?

Yes, 4K is enough for 75 inch. Even with a large screen size, 4K TVs can still provide sharp, detailed images. However, if you sit very close to the TV, you may be able to notice individual pixels. In this case, an 8K TV might be a better option.

Should I get a 75 or 85-inch TV?

The choice between a 75-inch and 85-inch TV depends on your viewing distance and how much you value immersiveness. If you sit more than 10 feet away from the TV, a 75-inch model might be sufficient. However, if you sit closer or want a more dramatic home theater experience, an 85-inch TV can provide an exceptional level of immersion.
