Respecting one’s diet is not that hard.
Even if you don’t agree with a vegan or vegetarian philosophy, you have no right to intervene and force them to eat what they don’t want to eat. I know many people think not eating meat can cause malnourishment but that is not true. There are so many cultures where people don’t ever eat meat and they’re as healthy as they can be. So at the end of the day, it is not all about protein because there are plenty of dishes that can provide enough nutrition. However, people refuse to accept this.

That is sort of what is happening in this particular scenario. Although it is a bit more complicated than that. IOs it alright to feed a kid meat if they like it even though their parents have raised them to be vegans. I am not saying a kid should be forced to eat what their parents want them to eat but at what age is it okay for a kid to make this decision themself? That is a question that is not easy to answer. But people are trying with this particular story.

First of all, veganism means no animal meat and no animal product so ofcourse it also includes milk.
He says that she is malnourished.
And that is why he has taken it upon himself to ‘feed’ her.
From the looks of it, he feeds her a lot.
He says that he is worried about her health.
But he is worried whether what he is doing is okay.

This is actually a very complicated story. Because while it is her decision to eat it. If he was only worried about her health, he could make specific hearty vegan meals that would fill her up. I know those are not that hard to make and taste absolutely delicious. So for me, it seems he is doing it because he does not agree with her parents. And ofcourse the kid likes meat dishes. I mean most people like the taste of meat, why do you think vegans or vegetarians try to emulate it? It is all about the reason someone doesn’t eat meat or animal by-products rather than hating the taste of meat.
People in the comments were split.
As many said this sort of behaviour from an adult is just not appropriate.

And it also seems like he makes specific dishes for her.
many people mentioned that he is not a nutritionist so he has no right.

And he is also asking her to keep it a secret from her parents.
This person makes a good point as well.

If he thinks she is malnourished, he could talk to her parents.
But for me, it seems like, it is more about making a statement rather than worrying about her health.

Talking to her parents first would have been the respectable thing to do.
While they were also people who agreed with his position.

They said it is her choice after all.

It isn’t as if she is being forced, right?

So the decision is sort of split.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think he is in the right? Or should he have talked to her parents beforehand? Comment down below and let us know.
