A company spokesman from the main investor Center Parks said: “As soon as the development plan is legally binding, the opening is expected to take place within 36 months.”

The initiative also notes that it considers it unrealistic that the recovery of ammunition on site will be completed in time. Since the area has been used for military purposes since 1935, numerous remains of ammunition must be recovered both on land and near the shore. According to “Zeit”, the process should actually be completed by October 31, 2026, because the promised state funding worth millions is only valid until this deadline.
