An incredible pallet project for your home, from the shelves to the tables, here we show you how you can make an interesting project by reusing pallets. It is very easy to obtain this material and you can do almost anything. These ideas should inspire you for your next project.

#1. Cut a piece of plywood for the desk
Most palettes have two sides. One with many tables. One with usually three tables. For this project, the side with many boards will be considered the back.
The one who has three boards will be considered the forward. You don't even have to remove any of the tables for this project (can you tell that's what I like most about the project...? I could have mentioned that part a few times). Cut a piece of plywood to fit between the two bottom boards.

#2: Attach a piano hinge
You can use a piano hinge instead of regular hinges to provide maximum stability. Attach one side of the hinge to the top of the plywood desk and one side to the bottom board of the pallet.

#3. Place a window frame
I think a window is a great option for keeping the desktop closed when not in use. Simply attach one side of the window sash to the plywood desk top and one side to the middle platform board.

#4. Assemble the cables
The cables are used to support the door when it is lowered. You should purchase a cable that can hold at least 100 pounds to ensure your desk is sturdy. You will need cable hooks, crimps and an eye hook.

#5. Thread the eye hook
Pass the eye hook through the wire as shown. Wrap the cable around the cable hooks and clip into place as shown. You will connect one end of the cable to the platform and one end to the desktop.
Cut the cable to fit comfortably on the platform when the top of your desk is lowered. Pass the eye hook, coil and crimp the cable hook on the other end of the cable. Repeat step 6 for the other side of the desk.

#6. Sand and stain from assembled palette
Use a dark walnut stain and apply one coat following the directions on the can. Apply a coat of polyurethane following the instructions on the can.

#7. Place the eye hook on the top of the desk
Once the palette is completely dry, place the eye hook on the side of the desk top. Repeat for the other side of the desk.

#8. Place another eye hook on a small block of wood
Attach the eye hook to a block of wood. Place the wood block on the inside of the back of the platform as shown. To finish, repeat on the other side.

This is a perfect project for a small space.
