How to build a homemade mini-greenhouse with simple materials, our own mini homemade Greenhouse with Lighting, where we can promote the growth of our small plantations.
Materials
- Wooden Boards.
- PVC pipes and elbows.
- PVC glue
- Lighting Strip
- Substrate
- Seedbed or similar container.
- Methacrylate Sheets
The tables
As you can see, from these two plates I have taken these 4 cuts, to make a base in the shape of a rectangular box, which I have finished gluing with wood glue.
If you notice, I have made the box taking into account the size of the container where the soil will go.

And also, I have left two holes on the sides to be able to fit the structure that we will make with the PVC pipes.
In addition to these PVC pipes, we will also use 3 types of connector elbows.
- 1 T-shaped.
- 1 with an angle greater than 90 degrees.
- 1 at a right angle.
The tubes

To start with the structure, we must cut the PVC pipes. Here, I have made 4 equal cuts, which we will place in each of the corners of the base.

To each of these 4 tubes, we must glue a T-shaped elbow. To glue them I have used a special adhesive for PVC tubes.

Although we will not use the pipes to pass water through them, I have chosen this glue because it is perfect for the occasion, since it provides us with a perfect seal, without leaks, and resistant to vibrations.
We will join these pieces in this way, connecting them through the largest side.

For the small side, we will use a piece of PVC of the appropriate size, and we will do the following: We will hole the T-shaped elbow with a small drill. And we will use this threaded rod to connect both ends. We insert the rods through the hole we have made in the elbow, make it go through, and then we pass it through the inside of the piece of PVC, taking it out again through the elbow at the opposite end.

To secure the rod, we will use these nuts of the same diameter, which we will place on the protruding piece of rod.

Once this is done, we will take the elbows of more than 90 degrees, and we will join them to a small piece of PVC approximately 5 cm long. We are going to make 4 exactly identical pieces, which once glued and dry, we will place on the top of each of the corners.

To finish closing the structure, I have made these two pieces, using the elbows at right angles. Using the CEYS glue, we will place them, one on each side.
And to connect them we will use the same technique as before with the threaded rod.

As a lighting system, we are going to use this SIMON brand strip.
In my case, although it could have been neutral light, I have chosen cold light, and I have selected this power strip, since it is linkable, and can even be connected with 10 more units of the same type.

As you have seen, it has a small switch, and it can be plugged directly into the mains. To place it, we are going to use zip ties. With one on each side, it will be more than enough.

What you see here are methacrylate plates, which are cut to size, and that we will use to cover the structure.
Note that I have taken advantage of the ends of the threaded rod, so that they hold the methacrylic platesato.
As you can see, I have made two small holes so that they can fit. Once the plates are placed, we only have to remove the protective plastic.

I have left one of the sides unclosed, which I will close later, to be able to insert the tray that will act as a seedbed. As a substrate for the seedbed.
Here you can plant almost anything you want, as long as it fits, from small aromatic plants, small cuttings like tomato, or any other seed that we want to germinate.
