Geneva-based Swiss watchmaker Frederique Constant announced record results for the first half of 2014, with growth of 26% compared to the same period in 2013.
«We are proud to have achieved our best first half, which clearly demonstrates that our product proposition – accessible luxury – continues to have great potential. The founding concept of the brand was to create innovative, high-quality Swiss Made watches at reasonable prices to enable more people to enjoy luxury. Even today, this mission is what drives our passion. We would like to take the opportunity to thank our collaborators around the world for their continued support of Frederique Constant,” says Peter Stas, Founder and CEO of Frederique Constant.
“We saw a significant increase in activity in most of our regions in 2014. From our accessible luxury positioning, we have been gaining market share in the $1,000 to $5,000 segment. Frederique Constant has grown strongly in Japan, South Korea, Australia, the United States and Canada, growth that we expect to continue in the second half of 2014,” continues Stas.
This year, 2014, Frederique Constant celebrates the 10th anniversary of its in-house calibers. Since 2004, Frederique Constant has been serving watches with in-house movements, developed, manufactured and assembled "in-hose". The company has developed 15 calibers including the latest creation from 2014: the Heart Beat FC-945 with plate, lever and silicon escapement to improve precision and reliability.

Stas concludes: “Given the good start to 2014 and with our intensive merchandising programs, training and promotional activities, as well as new product launches, we expect sales growth to be maintained for the rest of the year. Over the past 25 years, Frederique Constant has experienced annual growth rates of 15-25%. Realistically, Swiss watch exports will experience single-digit growth this year, but we are going to outperform the market.
