The newOris Big Crown ProPilot WorldtimerIt is a clear example of the commitment of this independent Swiss brand to innovation and to developing complications that make our lives easier. In this new model we find the World Time system that allows you to easily adjust the watch to different time zones by simply rotating the bezel.
This is a new version of the Oris Worldtimer that was launched in 1997, which had +/- buttons that adjusted the local time forward or backward in one-hour increments. It also incorporated a small seconds hand, local time and day/night indicators and a mechanism that made the date control the time setting, even when it was necessary to go back to midnight. A whole revolution.
This model gives a new dimension to this complication. HeOris Big Crown ProPilot WorldtimerIt is still as functional as its predecessor, but it has managed to eliminate the pushers, so that the local time is set by rotating the bezel, advancing it if the rotation is made clockwise and going backwards if it is done counterclockwise; always in one hour breaks.

As for the design, since it belongs to the ProPilot pilot watch collection line, it presents its traditional fluted bezel inspired by the shape of airplane turbines, a design that also makes the grip more comfortable when adjusting the time. It has also introduced changes to the buckle of the straps (leather and textile), as it now has a length adjustment based on the adjustment system of airplane seat belts. In addition to these strap models, another one with a steel bracelet is available.

There are two versions. The first, with an anthracite dial and a polished top ring on the bezel, a highly stylish masculine model designed for everyday use. The second features a black dial and brushed top bezel ring, designed for cockpit pilots. Both are equipped with an automatic mechanical movement.

All these details make theOris Big Crown ProPilot Worldtimera precise and functional watch, useful and beautiful, both for the common man and for the use of stubborn aviators. If you are one of those who travel frequently and need constant time adjustments, the functionality of this model will not disappoint you.
