The Longines Conquest brand has been celebrating no less than 60 years. To celebrate, the Swiss manufacturer has just presented the limited collectionLongines Conquest Heritage 1954-2014. Four watches inspired by the first creations of this line in steel, yellow gold or rose gold cases. Following the tradition of the famous model, the new versions feature a gold and enamel medallion on the caseback that bears the “golden seal of Longines quality.”
It was May 5, 1954, when Longines registered its “Conquest” brand at the Federal Intellectual Property Office. Immediate success among the public, these first watches quickly became associated with the timing of feats, such as measuring the speed record of a transatlantic crossing. To celebrate this limited editionLongines Conquest Heritage 1954-2014It presents several models in steel, yellow gold or rose gold. The steel model takes up the silver dial with a "sunray" effect from the first Conquest watch from 1954. The yellow gold model has a gold dial and reinterprets a piece that had been presented then as "the new crown of the proud Conquest line."
The gold and enamel medallion on the background that distinguishes the collection with the phrase “gold seal of Longines quality” comes in two versions: the seal on the gold pieces represents a constellation and that on the steel pieces is a fish. All Conquest Heritage models 1954-2014 are equipped with a black alligator leather strap. Each model is numbered. The gold edition is limited to 60 exclusive copies and the steel edition to 600 copies.
