La Asociación Profesional de Instructores de Buceo (PADI®) ha sido cómplice de uno de los lanzamientos más celebrados del año, el Seiko Prospex PADI, a model born from the collaboration of both institutions and whose design is inspired by the first diving watch launched in Japan bySeikoin 1965.
The renowned Japanese brand has been betting on technological innovation for more than 50 years to make diving a simpler activity, making it easier for professionals and amateurs in general to enjoy a safe and controlled dive.
Therefore, theSeiko Prospex PADIIt presents a design characterized by a dial designed to offer unbeatable reading in conditions of poor visibility. The large hour markers with the brand's special Lumibrite coating also contribute to this.

Its circular pattern evokes the wave movement of water, and the gradient effect of its blue color, lighter at the top and darker at the bottom, manages to create a chromatic effect similar to that experienced by a diver when diving into the deep sea.
The dark blue silicone strap also points to this play with color, matching the dial and the bezel, which also has a blued section at its end. The case is larger, 42.6 mm in diameter and 13.8 mm thick, and is made of stainless steel, giving it a more modern look and offering greater resistance.
Regarding its manipulation, theSeiko Prospex PADIIt is intended for use with gloves: deep grooves in the bezel allow for easy operation and the screw protection on the crown prevents it from being accidentally removed.

Finally, its hands are very striking: the minute hand, due to its great length, simulates a red sword, the hour hand, on the other hand, comes in the shape of an arrow. As for the seconds hand, the presence of a circle at its upper end allows it to be differentiated at first glance from the other two.
Ultimately, theSeiko Prospex PADIIt is a model specially designed for divers: there is no need to dive with it to appreciate that every last detail has been taken care of so that each dive becomes a unique and rewarding experience.
