It is the first extra light carbon fiber and titanium watch, and to achieve itOrishas developed a carbon fiber manufacturing technique derived from the processes used by Williams, the eternal companion ofOrisin Formula 1, with whom it was first associated in 2003. The objective of this novelty is to offer its key benefits: rigidity and airtightness.
The process is so sophisticated that the result is the perfect finish captured in the shape of a box. The titanium case back and sapphire crystal of theOris Williams Chronograph Carbon Fiber ExtremeThey can be assembled directly into it without further machining, special joints or 'containers'. In fact, the only additional processes required are milling out any excess material and opening the holes for the crown, pushers and bracelet.
Carbon fiber polymers are used where a great strength-weight balance is required, such as in the monocoque of racing cars or the steering wheel. It is five times lighter and two times more stable than steel.Orishas used it in the centerpiece of the multi-piece box of theWilliams Chronograph Carbon Fiber Extreme. The piece weighs just 7.2 grams.
Completing the case of this original and advanced model are polished black DLC titanium components, including the bezel, crown, pushers and caseback. The watch is powered by a Caliber 674Oris, a modified version of ETA's ultra-reliable caliber 7750. Williams blue on the chronograph hands and counters complete the watch's sporty design aesthetic.
