El L.U.C 1963 by Chopardcelebrates 50 years of the Scheufele family at the head of the brand with a limited edition copy for each year of their common history. HeChopard LUC 1963is a wristwatch equipped with a pocket watch movement, a direct descendant of the chronometers thatChopardwas still producing in 1963. "We have had a very classic intention when remembering those watches that my father made in the early days: always white dials with black Roman numerals. The classic aesthetic of that time was the one that my father cultivated," explains Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-president ofChopard.
En el Chopard LUC 1963Every classic element has been reworked. The lugs, slightly separated from the 44 mm diameter case, hug the curve of the wrist. The 18k rose gold sides are domed and brushed, while the thin, rounded bezel is polished. The white dial is porcelain type. The small seconds hand at 9 o'clock, the handsdauphines(typical of the new L.U.C collections), the black Roman numerals and the railway minute track are also direct references to the chronometers of thebelle epoque. The small seconds hand slightly extends beyond the railway track. It has indexes in red Arabic numerals. The dial occupies almost the entire diameter of the watch. This large 36.7 mm dial is a direct consequence of the presence of the L.U.C caliber 63.01-L. Developed in partnership with the Geneva School of Watchmaking and presented in 2010 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary ofChopardIn the L.U.C Louis-Ulysse Chopard – The Tribute model, the L.U.C 63.01-L, with 38 mm diameter, is a great movement, simple in its architecture.
The two-tone treatment between gold and steel of theChopard LUC 1963 acentúa los contrastes y la tridimensionalidad del movimiento.
