Technical prodigy and elegance mark the raison d'être of a watch inspired by architecture. The independent workshops based in Neuchâtel have just presented the Vertalor by Louis Mounet, a piece that synthesizes the quintessence of this historic manufacture in 24 pieces not suitable for everyone.
In it Vertalor by Louis Mounet The tourbillon cage hangs from three gold bridges. The barrel also hangs from a gold bridge and allows you to appreciate the bottom of the mechanism in a play of shadows that stand out through the sapphire crystal on the front and back.
In two versions (rose gold and white gold), the Vertalor by Louis Mounet is 47mm in diameter and the tourbillon is positioned at 6 o'clock. The hand, inspired by the brand's Julius Caesar watch manufactured in 1825, is shaped like a luminous star. At 12 o'clock, the gold bridges make room for the elaborate barrel that lights up at 6 o'clock.
Between the two, you can see the gear, the crown and the barrel with a 72-hour power reserve. The Côtes du Jura patterned dial is a signature detail along with the Gouttes de Rose hands. At 9 o'clock there is the fleur-de-lis, also an emblem of the house that has celebrated 10 years since the inauguration of Ateliers Louis Moinet with a restyling of its corporate identity.
Between the eccentric and the exclusive that is typical of this brand that loves rarities, theVertalor by Louis MounetIt has a lunar meteorite fragment adorning the center of the sphere, in the center of the arms. Eight diamond indices complete the detail of this manually wound piece with a power reserve of 72 hours and 21,600 rpm. A Louisiana alligator strap finishes the set.
