The solo transatlantic voyage, which the manufacture will experience aboard the largest ocean trimaran in the world together with skippers Dona Bertarelli and Yann Guichard, inspires this model available in two different versions, one in rose gold and the other in steel with DLC coating.
El First Stratos Spindrift RacingIt presents two particularities in its sphere. The first is the opening over the escapement, located at 10 o'clock, being the first Stratos to include it and allowing you to admire the heart of the watch. The second feature, on the inside of the flange, at 12 o'clock, incorporates the inscription "Spindrift Racing". The telemetric scale allows you to calculate the distance with a visible and audible phenomenon. The inscription and team logo, engraved on the oscillating weight, evoke the link between this elite sports watch and the upcoming nautical challenges that will take place on Lake Geneva and in the oceans around the world.
The self-winding El Primero 4061 chronograph movement features a lever and escapement wheel made of silicon, a material that eliminates lubrication problems. Silicon is much harder and lighter than steel, making it more resistant to wear and consuming less energy thanks to its low coefficient of friction. Additionally, it is antimagnetic.
Equipped with a column wheel, a symbol of quality calibers, the movement ofEl First Stratos Spindrift RacingIt sits in a case equipped with a rotating bezel and is available in a two-tone version (in rose gold and DLC titanium and a black dial) and in a completely black version (in DLC steel and a carbon fiber dial). Both versions feature a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating with optimal hardness and scratch resistance performance.
Finally, the rubber strap hides a thick and structured fiber fabric designed for practicing water sports.
